About Tina
My name is Tina..........I initially started transitioning in Oct.2009, which was not successful, so I did the big chop July 23,2010, so have been natural for 1 year. I have tried many products, some of which embraced my natural hair texture and others did not. I started making my own natural hair products, my hair oil, and my deep conditioner, as well as leave in conditioner and it was well worth my time, and research. My hair has grown tremendously in 1 year, one of my favorite products is JBC (jamaican black caster oil). I like jazz, gospel, R&B, club and my favorite book is the Bible. I also like to plan parties, shop, making jewelry items, and draw. I like to get up and go and change my scenery every now and then too.

BantuKnots style with OliveOil, IC fantasia gel, hollywood castor oil hair dressing. This style gave me a very tight curl. My hair had to dry for about 2 days, because I saturated my hair with product before twisting it into the knots.

My 4b/4c hair regimen
so I started the regimen with this products. my preepoo turned into a deep conditioner over night. I added some suave naturals conditioner to the pre poo method and it made my hair very soft and manageable. very little hair loss(maybe a quarter size) after I combed through. s/b I hadn't combed my hair in a few days because I was just twisting it up at night. I must say the ph shampoo made my hair feel squeaky clean and it was soft. I did two lathers, rinsed out and added my daily spritz and some curl free instant activator to it and twisted it up for protective styling, and did a dusting. my hair wasn't crunchy or anything when I took my twist out this morning. I put some curl free instant activator in it to give it moisture. this makes my hair soooooo soft. So now its mid day and im am noticing that my hair is still soft, my ends don't feel dry and brittle like normally, this in it self is an improvement. I also think my hair does better on dry twist out, I think I get more curl definition. I am very happy with this results for my hair so far. I will keep you posted and post pics. ttyl............ Tip Of The Day
Our scalp and hair has a ph of 4.5 to 5.5 so we should use a shampoo with a ph of 4.5 to 5.5 (ph balanced) because anything less than that can strip moisture from our hair. Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo is one that I just found that has this exact ph level. I will try this out and do a product review soon..........Jakia
Natural Hair Styles
I myself find it difficult at times to rock different natural hair styles, everyone has different texture and lengths of hair which makes it difficult at times to achieve the styles of other natural hair diva's.
