About Tina

My name is Tina..........I initially started transitioning in Oct.2009, which was not successful, so I did the big chop July 23,2010, so have been natural for 1 year. I have tried many products, some of which embraced my natural hair texture and others did not. I started making my own natural hair products, my hair oil, and my deep conditioner, as well as leave in conditioner and it was well worth my time, and research. My hair has grown tremendously in 1 year, one of my favorite products is JBC (jamaican black caster oil).
I like jazz, gospel, R&B, club and my favorite book is the Bible. I also like to plan parties, shop, making jewelry items, and draw. I like to get up and go and change my scenery every now and then too.

My name is Jakia......My last perm and cut was April 27, 2009 and I found out I was pregnant the next day! Haven't permed my hair since. That's two years, two months. I think my hair should be longer by now, but I'm not complaining. I need to possibly drink more water update my regimen and products. BantuKnots style with OliveOil, IC fantasia gel, hollywood castor oil hair dressing. This style gave me a very tight curl. My hair had to dry for about 2 days, because I saturated my hair with product before twisting it into the knots.

Tip Of The Day

Our scalp and hair has a ph of 4.5 to 5.5 so we should use a shampoo with a ph of 4.5 to 5.5 (ph balanced) because anything less than that can strip moisture from our hair. Elasta QP Creme Conditioning Shampoo is one that I just found that has this exact ph level. I will try this out and do a product review soon..........Jakia
